New Bicycle Helmets And Proud: Photo Of The Week

Just in time for back-to-school, two brothers pick up free helmets being offered at the Petaluma Police Department.

PETALUMA, CA -- Two brothers who stopped by the Petaluma Police Department on Tuesday to take advantage of free bicycle helmets serve as a reminder of the importance of traffic safety, especially near school zones, Petaluma police said.

With a new school year starting Wednesday at most Petaluma schools, police shared this photo of Parker, 5, and Ryan, 2, sporting their shiny new helmets.

"Drive, ride, and walk safely during this school season!" police said.
