The Oaks Post-Acute in Petaluma Honors Its Nurses

This past week companies throughout the United States honored their nurses during "National Nurses Week". Nurses are the front lines for patient care and the patients must be able to trust the nurses. That's why it is important to recognize and thank those nurses that treat their patients and colleagues with dignity, kindness, respect and compassion.

This national recognition of nurses stretched all the way to our hometown of Petaluma. The Oaks Post-Acute on Hayes Lane honored their nurses with different activities and themes each day with the goal of thanking them for what they do day in and day out for all of the patients.

The Oaks had themes each day such as "Crazy Hair Day", Breakfast and PJ Day" and a "Luau Day", but the theme all week was simply to honor their nurses and to thank them for everything they do.
