Petaluma Beer Festival Pours Drinks For Community

Rotary clubs will bring regional breweries, music, and local food to Petaluma's riverfront Saturday.

PETALUMA, CA — A glass of regional beer can help Petaluma schoolchildren, seniors, unhoused residents, and riverfront wetlands at one downtown festival Saturday.

Regional breweries will pour their creations along Petaluma’s downtown riverfront during the annual Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival on Sept. 12.

The Petaluma Valley Rotary Club and Petaluma Sunrise Rotary Club will present the festival from 1 to 5 p.m. at Water Street and Western Avenue.

The event celebrating the 12th year includes regional breweries, musicians, and food from local restaurants.

Proceeds will support Petaluma schoolchildren, seniors, and unhoused residents through nonprofit programs.

Organizers will also direct some proceeds toward projects that protect and enhance the Petaluma River and its wetlands.

General admission ticket holders receive a commemorative beer glass to fill at festival booths. Each tasting will also give attendees an opportunity to talk with the brewers and makers who created the beverages.

Organizers will offer a limited number of designated-driver tickets, which include snacks, nonalcoholic beverages, and a $10 certificate toward food booth purchases.

Admission is limited to people age 21 and older with valid identification.

What: 12th Annual Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival

When: Sept. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Where: Downtown Petaluma riverfront at Water Street and Western Avenue. The entrance gate will be on Water Street near the Balshaw Bridge.

Admission: $60 in advance or $65 on the day of the event, if tickets remain. A limited number of designated-driver tickets are available for $25.
