Petaluma Community Emergency Preparedness Fair-Sunday Sept 24th 11am-3pm (Walnut Park)

Hosted by Miwok District Boy Scouts of America and BSA Troop 9 (chartered by Elim Luthern Church of Petaluma)

There will be a Petaluma Community Emergency Preparedness Fair on Sunday September 24th from 11:00am-3:00pm at Walnut Park in Petaluma.

Guests include the Petaluma Mayor, Petaluma City Councilmembers, Petaluma Police and Fire Department, FEMA, DHS, Red Cross, US Coast Guard, Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, CHP, VFW/American Legion, Salvation Army, local scout units, churches and schools.

A free emergency gift will be given to the first 100 families.

Free hands on demonstrations including: CPR, emergency survival camping and Dutch Oven cooking. Survival preparedness equipment, gear, food, First Aid Kits, and emergency survival kits will available.

BSA Merit Badge classes on Emergency Preparedness and others.

Cub Scouts are welcome to visit with local scout troops and work on scouting requirements.

Refreshments: Food, bake sales, chips, sodas, desserts and more are also available.
