Petaluma Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault, Elderly Abuse
Petaluma police arrested a man who officials believe hit a 67-year-old victim over the head with a blunt object this week.
PETALUMA, CA — A Petaluma man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and elderly abuse on Friday, authorities said.
Officers on Thursday responded to the Highway 101 underpass near Lakeville Highway at 8:11 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault, the Petaluma Police Department said in a release. There, officers found a 67-year-old man who said he was hit over the head with a blunt object amid a verbal altercation.
The victim "positively" identified the suspect as Jason Etheridge.

Petaluma resident Etheridge, 52, was later arrested and book into the Sonoma County Jail.
