Petaluma Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Shooting, Attempted Murder

Police arrested a man in connection with a shooting that injured a man and left him calling for help.

PETALUMA, CA — A Petaluma man was arrested on Friday in connection with a shooting that injured a man, officials said.

Scott Walter Price, 57, was arrested at his home in Petaluma on Friday following a shooting that unfolded earlier that evening, the Petaluma Police Department reported.

Police received reports of shots fired and a person wounded by gunfire on the 100 block of Alta Drive just after 6 p.m. The person who reported the incident heard the victim crying for help and found him in the neighbor's yard suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers arrived on the scene and declared that there was no immediate threat to the neighborhood. The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment and was expected to survive.

Price was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
