Petaluma PD Seeking Man Who Allegedly Swiped Car From Dealership

Police in Petaluma and Vacaville today reported three recent vehicle thefts, two from auto dealerships and one from a gas station.

A man stole a white 2016 Nissan Altima with paper plates from the parking lot of North Bay Nissan at 1250 Auto Center Drive in Petaluma around 4 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Video surveillance camera footage showed the white male adult get into the vehicle and drive away. Police released a photo of the suspect.

In Vacaville, a customer's vehicle with the keys inside was stolen from the service bay of a local auto dealership Tuesday, police said. The suspect was previously seen loitering around other dealerships.

Vacaville police shared the information with Dixon police and Dennis Brovald, 28, of Dixon was arrested in Dixon on suspicion of vehicle theft.

Vacaville police also recovered a vehicle that had been stolen at a gas station while left unattended with keys inside in the Lodi area. Officers arrested Chanel Hardwick, 29, of Oakland, as the suspect was fueling the vehicle at a Vacaville gas station.
