Petaluma Police Activity Prompts Shelter-In-Place

A suspect was still at large after shelter in place orders came down for an area of Petaluma.

PETALUMA, CA — A suspect may still be on the loose Monday after police canceled a shelter-in-place order in Petaluma.

The order was for the area around Jefferson Street, East Court and Lindberg Circle.

The suspect was described as a Black man with a shaved head, last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt and jeans.

Police didn't describe what prompted the shelter-in-place, which began about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and was canceled around 7 p.m.
