Petaluma Police To Close Casa Grande Road For Mock Crash
The roadway will be closed Thursday, Petaluma police advised.

PETALUMA, CA — Casa Grande Road will be closed Thursday morning at the site of a mock traffic crash the Petaluma Police Department Traffic Unit is staging as part of the "Every 15 Minutes" program at Casa Grande High School. The closure between Ely Road and Crinella Drive will be in effect from about 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, Petaluma police said in a traffic advisory.
"The closed roadway will help the police department perform a mock traffic collision," police said. "This will involve responses from various public safety agencies. No collision will actually occur and the scene will be staged with volunteer role players."
The Petaluma Police Department is in its 18th year of participating in the "Every 15 Minutes" program — put on by law enforcement agencies at schools across the nation in an effort to reduce the number of teen traffic fatalities.
