PETALUMA, CA — With thousands expected to attend the Petaluma Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday in the downtown area, the Petaluma Police Department encourages attendees to arrive early and carpool, as parking will be a challenge.

"This is a wonderful family-oriented community event to honor our Military Veterans and is expected to have thousands of people in attendance," Petaluma police Sgt. Walt Spiller said. "The Petaluma Police Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding and requests those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel."

The parade honoring all servicemembers past and present is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at D Street and Petaluma Boulevard. Before and after the parade, musical performances and special acknowledgments will take place at the gazebo in Walnut Park.
