At last year’s Butter & Egg Days Parade, a banner was held up at the end of the of the parade in front of the announcer’s stand that read “Will You Marry Me, Megan?” Daniel Goodwin popped that question while in the parade riding in a friend’s car with Megan Collett. At the end of the parade where family and friends were waiting, along with his German Shepherd, Bodega, who played a key role. The engagement ring was attached to his collar.
That Petaluma love story continued this year, and the couple and the wedding party rode in the parade on the KZST Radio float, a local radio station. Daniel Goodwin and Megan Collett were married, and as thousands looked on as they said their vows, the parade was brought to a standstill.
