Police Search For Naked Burglar In Petaluma
A witness last saw the nude man running northbound on Cortez Drive, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — A naked burglar was on the loose Tuesday in Petaluma, according to police.
A resident in the 400 block of Cortez Drive walked into her house shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday to find a naked man inside, police said.
"The subject immediately fled through the rear sliding glass door into the backyard," Petaluma police Sgt. Nicholas Raccanello said. "The subject forced his way through an adjoining fence and proceeded to exit the backyard through a side gate."

The burglar was described as a Hispanic or Asian man around 5 feet 7 inches tall with shoulder-length, black straight hair, a thin build and no clothing.
A witness saw the nude man running northbound on Cortez toward McKenzie Avenue, and that was the last time he was seen, Raccanello said.

The surrounding area was searched by Petaluma officers and a Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department helicopter crew.
Additionally, two Petaluma K-9 officers did a yard-to-yard search but the suspected prowler was not found.
