Popular 49ers Jerseys Stolen From Sporting Goods Store In Sonoma County
Police also found suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale.
PETALUMA, CA — During a traffic stop Saturday in Petaluma, police found 49ers jerseys, a scale, and meth on a 44-year-old man. A Wednesday search of his home uncovered guns and more stolen goods.
On Saturday, Petaluma Police Department officers said they pulled over Michael Calapati, 44, of Vallejo. During the stop, police said they saw many Christian McCaffrey 49ers jerseys and a bunch of retail security devices.
Police said they then confirmed that a theft had just occurred at the nearby DICK'S Sporting Goods.

Officers said they also found a scale and several individually packaged baggies of suspected methamphetamine in Calapati's car.
Detectives said they later confirmed that Calapati was the suspect in multiple other retail thefts. The searched him home and found guns, ammunition, and thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise.

Calapati, who is still in jail, will face additional charges related to the items recovered at his home today.
