Power Outage Affects More Than 5,000 Petaluma Customers
As Sonoma County was hit with a deluge of heavy winds and rain Wednesday, several thousand were also left with no power.

PETALUMA, CA — As a powerful storm was dumping rain Wednesday on Petaluma, Sonoma County and the North Bay, prompting flood warnings and advisories, over 5,000 PG&E customers were also left without power.
PG&E reported that since about 4:22 p.m. more than 5,630 customers — mainly west of U.S. Highway 101 — have been affected by six power outages.
As of 5:17 p.m., PG&E crews were at the outage location and were working on determining its cause. An estimated time for when service may be restored was not immediately provided by PG&E.

A flash flood warning expired at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday for Petaluma but an NWS flood advisory remained in effect for Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties.
As the stormy weather continued early Wednesday evening, outages were also reported in Healdsburg, Forestville, Santa Rosa and Sebastopol.

Crews were assessing the outages and causes, according to the utility company.
