Protesters Nearly Hit By Truck At Old Santa Rosa Courthouse: SRPD

Police received numerous reports of a large red truck nearly hitting protesters at the old courthouse, but say no victims have come forward.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa police are seeking to speak with anyone who may have been hit by a large red truck during a George Floyd demonstration Saturday night at the Old Courthouse Square.

Witnesses told police the person behind the wheel of the truck drove erratically toward the courthouse and around it, nearly colliding with several people in the crowd.

Police found the truck; the driver has been identified and his vehicle has been impounded, according to a Santa Rosa police statement issued Monday morning.

"Now, we need the public's help," police said. "We received numerous calls about the incident from witnesses, but no victims have contacted us. To move the investigation forward, we are looking for any victims of this incident. If you were a victim, SRPD investigators need to speak with you."
