'Random' Robbing, Stabbing in Raley's Lot Not So Random, Police Say
The Rohnert Park incident involving a Petaluma man was connected to an ex-girlfriend living with the stabbing victim, authorities said.

Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety officials have released more information on an arrest in a stabbing last week at a shopping center. Officers responded on Jan. 15 to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Rosa after receiving a report of a stabbing victim arriving there from Rohnert Park.
The victim had been robbed and stabbed in the thigh while inside his vehicle at the Raley’s shopping center parking lot off of State Farm Drive, public safety officials said.

The investigation revealed that the 18-year-old victim was living in the same apartment as Bautista’s ex-girlfriend and the victim was targeted for that reason, according to the department.
The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
