Reward Offered In School Bomb Threat Investigation, Petaluma Police Say

PETALUMA, CA — A $1,000 reward is now offered for information leading to the person or persons responsible for making an anonymous bomb threat against a Petaluma high school, police said Friday.
On Sept. 29, a bomb threat against Casa Grande High School was made using an anonymous reporting system, according to the Petaluma Police Department.
Detectives worked with the anonymous reporting system company as part of their effort to identify the source of the threat.

"The investigation is still active and ongoing," Petaluma police Sgt. A. Garihan said Friday in an update. "Detectives have been following up on several leads and using all available investigative techniques at their disposal to identify the person or persons responsible for this threat. The police department treats all threats of any potential school violence seriously and will use the full extent of the law to identify and prosecute those who threaten or attempt such acts."
The $1,000 reward announced Friday is being offered through the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund.
