At-Risk North Bay Man Found Safe In Ukiah​

PETALUMA, CA — An at-risk North Bay man who went missing last week was found safe over the weekend in Ukiah, authorities said.

Steven Allen, 67, left his skilled nursing facility Monday in Petaluma, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Investigators believed Allen left the facility voluntarily and was possibly trying to get back to Ukiah, police said. Officers worked closely with law enforcement agencies in Mendocino County, and confirmed through surveillance footage that Allen entered a business Thursday in Ukiah.

On Saturday, the Ukiah Police Department found Allen and determined that he was in good health and did not need assistance.
