PETALUMA, CA — The annual Rivertown Revival Festival is set to take place from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until 7 p.m. Sunday at Steamer Landing Park on the historic McNear Peninsula.

The event attracts thousands of people and vehicle traffic in the area is significantly impacted. The Petaluma Police Department announced the following road closures and detours that will be in place to keep traffic flowing and pedestrians safe:

  • No left turn: Northbound traffic on Lakeville Street at the intersection of D Street will NOT be able turn left (westbound) onto D Street from Lakeville Street.
  • No left turn: Westbound traffic on D Street at the intersection of South Copeland Street will NOT be able to turn left (southbound) onto South Copeland Street at Steamer Landing. Those wishing to turn onto South Copeland Street to access the small parking lot for Steamer Landing must do so from eastbound D Street.
  • Southbound traffic on Copeland Street will be completely closed. No left or right turn: westbound and eastbound traffic on Washington Street at the intersection of Copeland Street will NOT be able to turn left or right (southbound) onto Copeland Street from Washington Street.

The Petaluma Police Department said it will work to reasonably accommodate any traffic-related issues that arise during the event. Festival-goers are encouraged to arrive early, carpool or take public transportation. Those who cannot avoid the area are urged to allow plenty of time for travel.
