Rohnert Park Man's Castle Crowned King in National Holiday Lights Contest

His dazzling display earned him $50,000 on ABC's "Great Christmas Light Fight."

A man and his castle is just what Scott Weaver of Rohnert Park created to win to the nationwide holiday home decoration of the “Great Christmas Light Fight” aired recently on ABC.

For his efforts, 20 years in the making , of his Disney-ish styled castle with popular characters all over his front yard and roof of his Cielo Circle home took the top prize of $50.000.

Weaver was standing out front of his home recently in the cold night air talking to some of the visitors who flocked to his castle-themed creation creating traffic jams in the neighborhood.

Still excited about his accomplishment still going strong into the last weekend of the year, his home is a few miles from Sonoma State University.

According to ABC: The Great Christmas Light Fight first debuted on ABC in December 2013 and featured 20 families competing to have the greatest Christmas display. The families were chosen through an extensive nationwide search, based on their previous elaborate Christmas light displays, incredible choreography and over-the-top designs.
