Teen Stabbed On Basketball Court at Napa School

BREAKING: The Tuesday afternoon incident was at Valley Oak High School, police said.

NAPA, CA – A teen boy was stabbed in the chest on the basketball court at a Napa high school Tuesday afternoon, a police sergeant said.

The stabbing was reported at 4:46 p.m. on the Valley Oak High School campus at 1600 Myrtle Ave., Napa police Sgt. Ryan Cole said.

Officers found a teen boy with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening, Cole said.

Police detained two other teen boys at the scene and interviewed them at the police station, Cole said. However, what their involvement is has not been determined and neither had been arrested as of 6 p.m.

Cole didn't know if the teen who was stabbed was a student, as sometimes students from other schools come around to play basketball after school.

The high school had finished the school day at about 3 p.m.
