North Bay Woman Arrested In Lake Berryessa Arson

The 59-year-old suspect from Napa was booked on 11 counts of arson on forest land, officials said.

NAPA COUNTY, CA – Cal Fire investigators and Napa County sheriff's officials arrested a Napa woman Wednesday morning on suspicion of arson at Lake Berryessa.

Debra Ann Windholz, 59, was booked into Napa County Jail under $500,000 bail on 11 counts of arson to forest land after her arrest around 6:30 a.m.

Cal Fire officials said she is not a suspect in the deadly wildfires in October in Lake, Sonoma and Napa counties.

Cal Fire spokesman Will Powers said he could not provide information on when the fires occurred, and the location was described only as the north end of Lake Berryessa.

The investigation of the October wildfires is ongoing, Cal Fire officials said.
