Motorcyclist Killed On Highway 12 Identified

The weekend accident occurred near Indian Creek Drive, Santa Rosa police said.

SANTA ROSA, CA – Santa Rosa police have identified a motorcyclist who died Sunday after a collision Saturday night with a Honda Civic as Gregory Moore, 48, of Santa Rosa.

Moore was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle east in the No. 2 lane of state Highway 12 around 9:20 p.m. Saturday when the driver of a 2015 Honda Civic turned right from a driveway into the No. 2 lane of the highway near Indian Creek Drive, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Summer Gloeckner said.

Moore was thrown from the motorcycle when it struck the back of the Honda. The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and it appears the 56-year-old Santa Rosa woman driving the Honda did not see the motorcycle before pulling out into traffic, Gloeckner said.
