Parents: Do you often feel overwhelmed with the uncharted challenges of parenting in the digital age?

In collaboration with St. Vincent High School, we hope you will join us for the Petaluma debut of the new film:
"SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age,"
a powerful new documentary about one of the biggest parenting issues of our time. This film has been enthusiastically embraced by sold-out theatre audiences nationwide since it came out less than three months ago. The event will include a Q&A discussion with St. Vincent's Counseling Department Chair Kathy Atkinson, MFT as well as local family therapists and parenting coaches Ashley Taggart, MFT & Erica Disney, PsyD.

Doors open at 6:30pm.

Overview: Are you watching kids scroll through life, with their rapid-fire thumbs and six-second attention span? Physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston saw that happening with her own kids and began a quest to uncover how it might impact their development. As with her other two award-winning documentaries on mental health, Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.
