Search For Missing North Bay Hiker Underway
Jon Clifford, 71, was last seen at Hood Mountain Regional Park, sheriff's officials said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in its search for a man reported missing after he did not return four days ago from a hike at Hood Mountain Regional Park. Jon Clifford, 71, of Santa Rosa, was last seen Saturday, Nov. 2, at the park east of Santa Rosa, according to the sheriff's office.
Clifford is an avid hiker who enjoys hiking McCormick Trail to Grandmother Tree in Hood Mountain Regional Park, Wildcat Trail in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, and property in between those trails, sheriff's officials said in a news release Tuesday.
He is described as a 6-foot-tall white man who weighs 170 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.

The sheriff's office released a photo of the missing man and asked anyone who may have seen him or has information about his possible whereabouts to call the dispatch line at 707-565-2121.
