Shelina Moreda gains National Exposure!

Tune in to “I Am Cait” on the E! Network on Sunday night (August 9th)as Petaluma’s own Shelina Moreda will be on the program.

Shelina is a professional motorcycle racer and races all around the world. This episode is about Shelina teaching Caitlyn Jenner and her friends on how to ride motorcycles and dirtbikes.

More about Shelina:

Shelina Moreda grew up riding motorcycles on her family’s dairy farm in Northern California. She got a dirtbike when she was 12 years old and the love for 2 wheels grew from there. “My dad never knew what he was starting when he made us do chores on the motorcycles, like bringing the cows in from the fields.”

She started racing 6 years ago and obtained her AMA Professional license immediately following her novice year. “I began racing motorcycles because I was raised to believe I could do anything I set my mind to. I always dreamed of being out there dicing with the guys I saw on TV, and I’m crazy enough to turn it into a goal and chase that dream”. She has since been racing at the National level in the United States, as well as internationally in Qatar, Japan, and has raced and instructed race schools in Europe. She races everything from street to supermoto to dirtbikes, and from combustion engine bikes to electric bikes. She has spent the last 2 years in Vance & Hines H-D series and is back to contend on a 600 now. She has several “firsts” to her career, being the first female to race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on a motorcycle, as well as the first female team to compete the Suzuka 4-Hour endurance race are two of her favorites.

Shelina also runs Girlz MotoCamps, an all female motorcycle skills school that focuses on building confidence and inspiring people to build their goals.
