Shelter In Place Orders In Petaluma
Authorities restricted movement in a Petaluma neighborhood with a shelter in place order minutes before 5 p.m.
PETALUMA, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office issued a shelter-in-place order at 4:57 p.m., telling residents in parts of Petaluma to stay inside and lock their doors due to ongoing police activity.
The warning covers Kuck Lane and Monte Vista Lane, including nearby Via Robles Court and Anglers Way, where authorities said conditions require residents to remain indoors until further notice.
Deputies instructed residents to secure all doors and windows and avoid going outside while law enforcement continues operations in the area. Officials did not immediately release details about the nature of the police activity.
