Sketch Released: Coroner Needs Help IDing Man Found Dead In Rohnert Park

The Sonoma County coroner’s office is asking for help in identifying a man who was found dead in Rohnert Park earlier this month.

He was found around 2 p.m. on Jan. 2 along an access road between Motel 6 and Expressway Self-Storage on Commerce Boulevard.

There was nothing suspicious about the scene and foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy determined the man died of natural causes, sheriff’s Sgt. Cecile Focha said.

The coroner’s office released a sketch of the deceased man today. He was a white man between 40 and 55 years old who was 5 feet 11 inches tall and 220 pounds.

He had male-pattern baldness and a full beard. The hair on his chin was gray, but the rest of his hair was brown, Focha said.

The man wore prescription aviator-style metal frame glasses and a gray Times digital watch.

He was wearing a black Ben Davis half-zip shirt, a brown zippered vest, a camouflage half-zipper jacket, black pants, white socks and gray athletic shoes, Focha said.

A black bicycle with multi-colored speckling on the frame and a towable child carrier on the back was found near the deceased man.

The man was carrying a red 7-inch Polaroid tablet, a Cobra camera in a case, four micro SD cards, three memory cards and a micro solar panel.

He also kept a journal with entries about math, physics and science, Focha said.

Notes found on other pieces of scrap paper indicated he frequented libraries. Coroner’s officials said they couldn’t identify the man through fingerprints.
