Airplane Crashes At Local Golf Club, 2 Aboard

PETALUMA, CA — A small plane carrying two people crashed at a golf club near the Petaluma Municipal Airport late this morning.

The plane crashed at the Rooster Run Golf Club at about 10:45 a.m.

The Federal Aviation Administration reported that a Van’s RV-7A single-engine plane crashed in a field shortly after taking off.

There was no immediate word on the conditions of the two people in the aircraft.

An employee of Rooster Run Golf Club confirmed that the plane crashed at the golf course, across the street from the airport, according to CBS News.

The crash closed East Washington Street between Garfield Drive and Adobe Road, the Petaluma Police Department said.
