Suspected Sonoma County Attacker Arrested
Arriving officers found a man with a single stab wound.

SANTA ROSA, CA -- Police arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a victim Sunday evening in Santa Rosa. At 5:21 p.m., officers were dispatched to Southwest Community Park at 1698 Hearn Ave. to investigate a report of a stabbing.
Witnesses had reported that the suspect fled the scene and was last seen running north from the park, police said.
Arriving officers found a man with a single stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he received medical treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

Officers, with help from sheriff's deputies and a helicopter, set up a perimeter and searched for the suspect. They found him hiding under a piece of plywood, adjacent to a home in the 700 block of Westwood Drive, police said.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Francisco Lopez-Ibanez of Santa Rosa. He was arrested without incident and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
