Teamsters endorse Mike Harris for Mayor of Petaluma

The Teamsters Local #665, Local #856 and the Bay Area Joint Council 7 have all endorsed Mike Harris in his run for Mayor of Petaluma

The Teamsters Local #665, Teamsters Local #856 and the Bay Area Joint Council 7 of the Teamsters endorse Mike Harris for Mayor of Petaluma.

About the Teamsters:

Most people think of Teamsters as being concerned only with delivery drivers. We know that Teamster membership includes men and women in an amazing variety of occupations.

In our case, we park the cars, get rental cars ready for the road, are cashiers, work in car dealers, drive the school bus, tow-cars, panel delivery, shuttle buses, tour buses, parts delivery, auto transport, taxicab, pump gas and safety-check mechanic work, clean and polish, parts counter person, retail stores, dispatchers, tire shop person, salesmen, gardener, too! & dye makers, construction, tire-men, day care workers, technician program seller, truck leasing, journeyman parts, body shop, retread service, route coordinator, baggage handlers, para-transit driver. In addition the Teamsters represent SMART track and signal maintenance workers, ADA’s, teachers, city workers, Class A drivers for many employers in the North Bay, police officers, UPS workers, craft cheese makers, solid waste workers and drivers and motion picture drivers.

“I’m honored to have the support of the working men & women of these Teamsters groups,” says Mike Harris. “Having the support of the men & women that are the backbone of our economy is truly humbling”. “I look forward to working with these groups if I am honored to become Mayor of Petaluma, to bring economic stability to our area and create high paying jobs for our citizens,” says Harris.
