What better way to spend your Sunday than down by River Plaza, trying out boats and boards and bikes on the water? Hydro-bikes, that is. Paddle boards, that is. The boats run from Hawaiian Outrigger canoes to picnic rowboats to pedal boats to Hobie Cats from Windtoys in Santa Rosa to an Adirondack guideboat from The Guideboat Company in Mill Valley! It's the 9th Annual Day on The River, and everyone is welcome to come down to the turning basin to enjoy it! (Parking in the dirt lot on Weller Street, behind the River House. Cost: $10 for adults. Kids 12 and under are free.) Proceeds benefit your host, Petaluma Small Craft Center, which is building The Floathouse, a boat and board rental center to float on docks in the turning basin. Projected build: 2016.
