A 29-year-old man and a 13-year-old teenage boy were detained after they took money from a CVS clerk early Thursday morning, according to Petaluma Police.
At around 6am Thursday, officers were called to Pharmacy on East Washington Street and Lakeville to investigate a report that two suspects had taken cash from a clerk at the store after a short struggle. When officers arrived on scene, the suspects fled on foot.
The teenage boy, who police say is a runaway from Valley of the Moon Children's Home in Santa Rosa and is not being identified because of his age, was quickly detained. The adult, later identified as Kristopher Paul Weber of Petaluma, continued to run despite orders to stop and was Tased.
Weber initially provided false identification but was ultimately identified and booked at Sonoma County Jail on charges of strong arm robbery. He has also been charged for a robbery at Petaluma Market on April 21. The teenager has been connected to a burlgary at feed store on May 3 where he took "horse products." He was booked at Juvenile Hall.
