Two Standouts Propel Casa Grande Team to Seventh Straight Victory

Joey Rodriguez scored 19 points and Chase Stafford poured in 17 points Saturday to lead Casa Grande High's boys to a 70-46 Sonoma County League boys basketball win over El Molino.

The Sonoma County League champion Gauchos improved to 21-4 overall and 11-0 overall.

The visiting Gauchos got 13 points and six rebounds from Josh Hayworth in rolling to an easy victory. Kyle Powell scored eight points and grabbed five boards.

Casa Grande finishes the regular season Feb. 9 at home against Petaluma. The last-place Trojans are 1-9 in the league and 4-20 overall.

Casa Grande's victory over El Molino extended the Gauchos' winning streak to seven games.
