Uber Offering Fire Victims Free Rides To Evacuation Centers
The ride-share company will offer two free rides of up to $20 each to evacuation centers in Sonoma and Los Angeles counties.
Uber will provide free rides to wildfire evacuation centers for people fleeing the blazes burning across California, the ride-share giant announced Monday.
Uber will offer two free rides of up to $20 each to and/or from evacuation centers in Sonoma and Los Angeles counties. To request the free ride, users can enter promo code CALFIRERELIEF19 in the Payment section of the Uber app.
The offer will apply to the following centers:

- CrossWalk Community Church Napa (2590 First St.)
- Alameda County Fairgrounds (4501 Pleasanton Ave.)

The offer is in effect through midnight November 7.
Sonoma County has been devastated by the Kincade Fire, burning since last week, while the Los Angeles area has faced the twin threats of the Tick Fire and Getty Fire.
