Village Network of Petaluma Welcomes PEP Members

PEP residents enjoy membership in Village Network of Petaluma, thanks to a collaboration of Village Network of Petaluma and PEP Housing.

Village Network of Petaluma is pleased to welcome eight residents of PEP Housing to its membership, as part of its new Membership Partners Program.

The new members will enjoy the Village’s social connections and the network of volunteer services such as rides, note takers at medical visits, computer tutoring, minor repairs, friendly visits and more.

Village Network completed a fundraising campaign to help underwrite memberships for PEP’s limited income residents. The enthusiastic community response exceeded the target by 75%, laying the groundwork for expanding the program in the future.

“We are grateful to Petaluma Kiwanis’ generous sponsorship of one annual membership, as well as all the individual donors who helped the Village broaden our membership to include older adults on limited incomes,” said Anne Greenblatt, president of the Village board. “PEP hosted our presentations to residents, and handled the eligibility screening. We hope to expand and fund the program into the future.”

“We share the common goal to help people live in their own homes and be as active as possible, “ said Mary Stompe.
