Wet Drives: Take It Slow Out There, Sonoma County!
Rain is expected to continue overnight.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A rainy morning and slick streets led to one vehicle leaving the roadway near Petaluma Boulevard South and Crystal Lane, and the rain will continue, officials said.
Across the North Bay and down across San Francisco, lingering rain showers are expected to persist tonight and into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Conditions will be relatively dry for the South Bay and Central Coast, but forecasters added they cannot rule out a few light showers in these areas.
The Petaluma Police Department issued a reminder for area motorists: "Remember to use extra caution and slow down when driving in the rain or on wet roadways. Don't forget to turn your headlights on as required when using your windshield wipers."
