Whiz Kids: Valley Vista Odyssey of the Mind Team Headed to State Tournament

Whiz Kids: Mia Santander, Madeleine Hathaway, Lilly Catarozoli, Aidan Eustace, Natalie Gabrenya, Lydia Williams and Abbey Reuter

School: Valley Vista Elementary

Accomplishment: Placed first in the Regional Odyssey of the Mind competition held on March 5^th in Santa Rosa. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for kindergarten through college students. Participants are asked to design structures using basic household items or come up with a skit based on a predetermined idea.

Key to Awesomeness:  The team, made up of fourth and fifth graders, will now head to the state competition held March 26 in Brentwood, accompanied by their coach, Tammy Jacobson.
