• Hesperia man, 79, charged in deadly Phelan hit-and-run dies by suicide (vvdailypress.com) — A long-running case over a deadly hit-and-run at Phelan and Buttemere roads has ended after the 79-year-old Hesperia man charged in the crash died by suicide. Authorities say the 2024 collision killed 65-year-old Cynthia Moss of Phelan, and the charges were dismissed once the suspect’s death was confirmed.
