2 Oakland Shooting Victims Expected to Recover

Shot in separate incidents, both men drove themselves to the hospital.

OAKLAND, CA - Two men were shot in North and West Oakland about an hour apart on Wednesday night but both are expected to recover from their injuries, police said today.

The first shooting occurred in the 4700 block of West Street in North Oakland at 7:31 p.m. on Wednesday.

The victim drove himself to a local hospital, where he is being treated for a gunshot wound but is in stable condition, according to police.

The second shooting occurred in the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The second victim also drove himself to a local hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
