• Pool pass rates increase Sept. 1 (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont pool users have until August 31 to buy annual passes at current rates before a roughly 10% increase takes effect September 1. The city details how summer pass holders can lock in lower prices, expanded evening open swim at the Activity Pool, and reduced competition pool access during high school and team practices. Residents are urged to check the online schedule before visiting.
   

• Car stolen twice in Piedmont (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont police are investigating a string of recent vehicle thefts, including a Mercedes and BMW taken from Jerome Avenue and a Mercedes stolen again the following night before being recovered in Berkeley. Another Honda HR-V was taken from Grand Avenue, and officers also found a tampered Flock camera. Residents may want to double-check parking security and stay alert to suspicious activity.
   

• Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir fall registration now open (piedmontexedra.com) — Families in and around Piedmont can now register kids ages 5–18 for the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir's Fall 2026 semester, starting the week of September 8. The program offers multiple class times, nurturing instruction, and diverse musical styles that build confidence and friendships. Space is limited, so interested parents are encouraged to pre-register or contact the registrar soon.
