• Piedmont marks 25th anniversary of 9/11 attacks in solemn ceremony (piedmontexedra.com) — Piedmont residents, city leaders, and first responders gathered at the fire station Friday to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with readings, reflections, and thanks to local firefighters and police. Mayor Betsy Smegal Andersen emphasized passing remembrance to younger generations and honoring those who continue choosing to serve and protect the community every day.
   

• Piedmont's Cameron Wolfe to be honored at Sonoma Botanical Garden Gala on Oct. 3 (piedmontexedra.com) — Longtime Piedmont resident and conservation leader Cameron Wolfe will be honored Oct. 3 at Sonoma Botanical Garden for decades of environmental and community service. Locals may recognize his role in creating the Fourth of July Parade, the tree lighting, and the Hampton/Lasalle ballfield, along with his ongoing work with Piedmont's education and beautification foundations.
