Amtrak Train Hits Vehicle on Tracks In Oakland
The train was on the way to the maintenance yard when the accident happened.
OAKLAND, CA —An Amtrak train traveling back to the Oakland maintenance facility collided with a car Tuesday afternoon, according to Amtrak.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. in the area of 29th Avenue and East 12th Street where the vehicle was obstructing the tracks.
There were no injuries to the crew on board.
