Aspiring Pimp Charged With 8 Felonies After Authorities Say He Lured His Victim From Texas
He's charged with rape, human trafficking, being a felon in possession of a firearm and more.

OAKLAND, CA — A man has been charged with eight felonies for allegedly luring a Texas woman to Oakland to try to get her to work for him as a prostitute and then sexually and physically assaulting her, prosecutors said.
Arlester Eddings III, 39, has been charged with two counts of forcible rape, sodomy, human trafficking for commercial sex, pandering by encouraging, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and possession
of ammunition by a prohibited person.
Prosecutors allege that Eddings was convicted of possession of concentrated marijuana in Alameda County in 2007.

Eddings, who is being held without bail at the Glenn Dyer Jail in Oakland, was arrested in Oakland on Sept. 3, was charged on Sept. 5 and is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 4 for a bail hearing.
