Cathedral of Christ the Light Cr?che Tradition & Meaning Lecture

Crèche Festival Lecture

The Cathedral of Christ the Light will surely be shining during its 5th annual Starlight Festival, where the Cathedral Event Center (lower level) will be decorated with beautiful crèche displays — a model representing the scene of Jesus Christ’s birth.

As the Cathedral boasts about this event, you may be wondering about the history of it all? Where did it all start? What does it represent? Well you’re just in luck! During this family-fun weekend we will be graced with the presence of Rev. Vince Mesi, OFM and Bro. Michael Minton, OFM from San Damiano Retreat Center in Danville who will speak on the origins of the créche, its multicultural meanings and its importance in the Catholic tradition. All are welcome.

Donation at the door - $5.00 per adult; children 12 and under free. The lecture will be followed by recognition of the parishes participating in the Creche Festival. Reserve your spot now!
