Double Homicide in Oakaland Monday Morning

OAKLAND, CA — Two people are dead in a double homicide this morning in Oakland, police said.

The deaths were first reported at 1:46 a.m. in the 9900 block of Empire Road at Gibraltar Road. A third person was taken to a hospital, according to police.

No other information was immediately available.

In addition, two people suffering gunshot wounds were hospitalized after two separate shootings, one that occurred late Saturday night and another that occurred early Sunday morning. Two other people were injured by broken glass in a shooting earlier Saturday afternoon but were not hit by gunfire.
