Firefighters Extinguish Blaze in Oakland Home

The blaze was in the walls of the single-family structure, according to firefighters.

OAKLAND, CA- Firefighters extinguished a residential structure fire in Oakland Tuesday. At 10:26 p.m. the Oakland Fire Department responded to a fire in the vicinity of East 15th Street and 22nd Avenue. The blaze was in the walls of the single-family structure, according to firefighters.

By 10:51 p.m., firefighters reported via Twitter that the fire was out - but units on scene were checking for extension into the attic. Further details were not immediately available.
