Hayward Man Fatally Shot in East Oakland Monday

A Hayward man was fatally shot in East Oakland on Monday, police said today. Oakland police said officers responded to the 10100 block of Foothill Boulevard at 5:24 p.m. Monday to investigate a report of gunshots. They arrived to find a crime scene and no victim.

Shortly afterward, a man suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at a hospital but was later pronounced dead there, according to police. Police said they believe the man who died at the hospital was the same one shot on Foothill Boulevard. They aren’t yet releasing his name.
