Heartwarming Tribute To School Crossing Guard

In Piedmont, it's all about community pride.

PIEDMONT, CA —Dozens of parents, students and police officers gathered in Piedmont Wednesday morning to honor long time school crossing guard Arthur Ward.

Many carried homemade signs that read, "Honk if you love Arthur" and "We love Arthur."

The police department wrote in a Facebook post, "His smiling face greets children and parents every morning at the intersection of Linda and Lake in our city. Thank you Mr. Ward for helping keep our children safe as they walk to school."
