Holiday Cheer from students to seniors

Havens students create cards and poems for Piedmont Gardens

On December 2, Havens students spent an hour after school creating holiday cards and writing winter poems for the seniors at Piedmont Gardens. With glue and glitter everywhere, the students worked like elves creating wonderful holiday projects!

The highlight of the projects were the beautiful poems written by the students. Here are a few samples:

CHRISTMAS IS COMING by Ella, age 10

The winter is fun. We like to play.

Even without the sun I have fun all day!

Christmas is near, With snow all around.

We’re full of cheer, Eating candy by the pound

I can’t wait for Santa to come! My stocking’s unbearably flat.

This is really dumb. Santa should come just like that!

But presents are great To have fun and play.

And now I will wait for Christmas day.
